Long before Filmmaker Francis Ford Coppala brought us his epic Godfather Series our family was known as THE FAMIILY to Mentor and to me.

My Croatian Grandparents had 'friendly' ties with a few 'Wise Guys', who happily did our 'Family' -- favors, Grandma having seen someone do something, and deciding to not say anything, on her own, won them over; Mentor's Sicilian Step Dad also made a decision ~ and had decided to not refuse an offer ( for important reasons ), when he had divorced a Mafia Princess, after having 'ruined' her life, and gave up a lucrative Winery in exchange for his pursuit of happiness; and a couple of my father's Italian cousins, married ' Family' members ~ who were not ever inclined to do any favors for anyone.

A number of Photos of 'Our Family' ~ through blood and social contacts, known to us as THE FAMILY, will continuously be added to this section, some captions with names and some without ~ for many personal reasons.

Any resemblance to anyone ~ anywhere ~ will be coincidental.

Most of the connections of our Grandparents are now dead. Everyone has scattered. Some cousins have branched out into other fields. "Some".

Italian Grandma Louise A Role Model Long Jet Black Straight Hair ~ Gray Blue Soulful Eyes Temperamental A Superior Cook She made everything from scratch. Every Sunday from the beginning of time seemingly forever Grandma served a formal sit down Italian dinner for 6 of her 8 adult children, their 6 spouses and their 10 kids. That's 26 people counting her and Grandpa and an unmarried aunt and uncle. The other two of her children married, after adding two more spouses, and after the Grand Kids made a wild leap from 10 to 27, (bringing all of us to 45 at the table) ~ she stopped.
